Postgraduate projects
I am working on a project to create a new, modern experience for visitors at St. Luke’s Church, Portsmouth. Instead of sticking with tradition, I aim to design the space differently by incorporating a mix of old and new elements, including objects and memories from the church.
St. Luke’s Church model
I have been experimenting with different shapes, forms, and lighting techniques with paper foldings. During the design process, I created a unique spatial experience of the overall environment in the church, this includes casting light and shadow.

“Space is typically thought of as a void or as the absence of solid, and movement thought of as a domain separate from its existence in space.“
(Kent C. Bloomer, 1977, p.57)
If you are interested in my design process essay, I recommend exploring the depths of my research by taking a moment to peruse my reflective journal.
It was packed with valuable insights and observations that I believed it can greatly benefit anyone who is interested in the topic.
