How do people perceive the space arranged with Feng shui between the mixed Western and Chinese architecture in Macao? How does the urban influence the social, political and cultural in Macao?
As I explore my hometown, Macau, a beautiful blend of Western and Chinese cultures, I am inspired to discover how our perception of space has shaped our social, political, and cultural values. Using historical architecture and the sensory perception of space, my aim is to gain a deeper understanding of how we perceive the world around us and how this perception has influenced urban and construction design in Macau. It is truly fascinating to see how the balance between Western design and the Chinese theory of Feng shui has created a unique urban space that leaves a significant cultural impact. I am excited to explore this fusion of art and architecture and discover how it has shaped not only Macau’s past but also its future.
Embarking on a journey of exploration, I aim to gain a deeper understanding of human perception of space through the lens of two different architectural designs. Additionally, I will delve into the fascinating world of Feng shui and its influence on the objects and environments of magnificent Macau.
